Introduction

hey friends! today we are learning to make a super quick chili oil (we'll save the more complex one for another time) and stir-fried sweet potato glass noodles. these two are great on their own and even more delicious when paired together – so let's jump right into the recipe.

Steps

  1. prepare noodles

  2. create stir-fry sauce

  3. combine for hot or cold noodles

How to make

1. boil a pot with water and cook your sweet potato glass noodles to the package instructions. drain and cut noodles with a scissor. set aside.
2. in the same pot heat up 1 ½ tbsp hot chili oil on medium-high heat. follow up with the oyster sauce and brown sugar. add in cornstarch slurry if needed for a thicker sauce.
3. toss in noodles and any extras and combine with sauce.
4. serve and eat immediately for a hot meal or can be eaten as cold noodles.

Ingredients

  • sweet potato glass noodles (i used half a bag)

  • 2 tbsp vegetarian oyster sauce

  • 1 ½ tbsp hot chili oil

  • 2 tsp brown sugar, can adjust with more or less for sweetness

  • optional: cornstarch slurry

  • vegetables, tofu, etc. for extra fillings
