Sunflower Seed Sauce 🌻

SERVING:

2-4 people

 

INGREDIENTS: 

Vegan

 

Sunflower Seed Sauce:

1/4 cup - 1 cup of soaked/boiled sunflower seeds

1-2 cups of water

1-2 garlic cloves

pinch of salt

1/3 of a lemon

 

Instructions:

1. Soak your sunflower seeds overnight or boil for 15 minutes a small pot.

2. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until you have a very smooth consistency.

3. Use for creating sauces and for creamy ingredients in recipes (i.e ranch, alfredo sauce, etc.)

 

 

 

Recipe Notes:

  • The more sunflower seeds added, the stronger the taste will be. So keep that in mind. You may want to play around with the measurements to figure out what works best for your palette.

  • Add non-dairy milk and sauces for a thicker and creamy sauce.

  • You can leave out every other ingredient, soak sunflower seeds and blend, run through a mesh strainer or nut milk bag and create a sunfloweer seed milk.
