It's the weekend and you're tired of that frozen pizza in the freezer section of your grocery store or the nearest pizzeria near you just doesn't satisfy your vegan pizza dreams.. say no more! I'm here today to welcome you to my delicious BBQ Chicken Pizza that it sure to satisfy your craving, whether you're eating alone or with friends and family. When I visited my family back home in March I instructed my mom on how to cook this bad boy and I can tell you that the family was not disappointed! BBQ Chicken Pizza
BBQ CHICKEN PIZZA:
1 pizza crust
1-2 cups marinara sauce
1/2 cup mild bbq sauce
1/4-1/2 cup spicy bbq sauce
1 tbsp olive oil
1 package of vegan "chicken"
1/3 cup sliced red onions
1-2 tbsps: garlic, onion, paprika powder
salt & pepper to taste
1. Heat oven to 375° F (or according to pizza crust packages cooking instructions). Heat a skillet on medium heat with olive oil.
2. Once oil is heated add "chicken" and cook until golden brown. Add in seasonings and spicy bbq sauce, allowing meat to soak in the flavors for 3-5 minutes.
3. Mix together mild bbq sauce and marinara sauce and add on top of pizza crust. Top with cooked "chicken", vegan mozz, and sliced onions.
4. Cook for 8-10 minutes (or according to package instuctions) or until golden brown.
5. Allow to cool and enjoy!
Drizzle ranch, cilantro and red pepper flakes to take this pizza up a notch. The flavors together are out of this world!
